PREMIER BUSINESS

HUB IN HOUSTON

The Energy Corridor District is the premier, centrally-located business hub in Houston — home to some of the world’s largest corporations, plus thousands of acres of parks and open space, diverse housing options, good schools and vibrant retail offerings. Since 2001, the District’s board of directors and staff have worked to ensure long-term quality development in the area.
We coordinate area improvements with city, county and state officials to ensure the area will enjoy smart well-planned growth in the future.

We promote, develop, maintain, and enhance the Energy Corridor District through projects, services, and initiatives that strengthen public safety, improve mobility, promote transportation options, beautify the area, and develop infrastructure and streetscapes, thereby enhancing economic development for property owners, entrepreneurs and residents of the area.

STRENGTHENING

PUBLIC SAFETY

Through its partnership with the Harris County Constables Office, the Energy Corridor District strives to ensure that our area remains safe and crime free. Constable deputies are on duty seven days a week and can generally respond to a call for assistance in less than 90 seconds.

IMPROVE MOBILITY

AND TRANSPORTATION

The District is distinguished by its exceptional location, along Interstate 10 and is accessible via several major City of Houston roadways including Eldridge Parkway, Highway 6, Briar Forest Drive and Memorial Drive. METRO Transit Authority serves the area with its bus service, and two commuter bus line serve the District with routes from The Woodlands and Fort Bend County.

DISTRICT

BEAUTIFICATION

The District maintains dozens of medians throughout the area, in addition to the Interstate 10 frontage roads. Crews working on behalf of Energy Corridor mow these areas in the public realm, maintain irrigation lines, and remove and replace dying plants and trees, using sustainable practices that ensure a positive curb appeal that attracts visitors and businesses alike. The District has engaged area artists to paint many utility boxes on street corners and to paint mini murals along Park Row at Langham Creek.

DEVELOP INFRASTRUCTURE

AND STREETSCAPES

Bryan Brown, an experienced urban planner, serves as President of the Energy Corridor District and leads staff efforts to envision the future success of the area through master-planned projects. Creating a vibrant, consistent, uniform streetscape through the implementation of design standards and guidelines that foster a safe community leads the list of infrastructure goals. The includes maintaining sidewalks and street crossings to benefit pedestrian safety.
