Energy is evolving and expanding in The Energy Corridor District! As the home to some of the world’s largest traditional and emerging energy companies, the District is the heart and soul of the Energy Capital of the World. The District’s diverse set of employers representing the full spectrum of energy, are leading the global energy transition and critical to Houston’s prominence in the industry’s evolution. This includes jumpstarting and scaling emerging carbon-reduction strategies, including carbon capture usage and storage, hydrogen production and application, energy storage solutions and much more. These innovations will make Houston the Energy Transition Capital of the World and the Energy Corridor will remain the headquarters.

The District is focused on attracting and supporting new and established energy companies that benefit from the sector’s strong centrality within the corridor. The centrality of Energy Corridor companies offers unmatched opportunities for synergetic collaborations and partnerships. It also offers access to a workforce leading the way in the development and implementation of innovations and new technologies to advance carbon reduction efforts and build on other renewable and sustainable energy production and usages of tomorrow.

In partnership with regional stakeholders, the District is collaborating with multiple private and public entities to leverage the energy sector’s acceleration to low-carbon global solutions. This includes collaborating with nearly 120 Houston-area companies, universities and government agencies in support of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Houston Energy Transition Initiative.
