There’s still time to apply for our 12 Days of Christmas grant program.

This program aims to provide meaningful support to organizations whose work creates lasting impact and positive change for families and neighborhoods in the District.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization
  • A valid non-profit EIN is required
  • Fill out the application form in its entirety

The organization’s mission and services must benefit the Energy Corridor community and surrounding zip codes 77079, 77084, and 77077.

Application Deadline: October 31, 2025

Grant recipients will be announced during our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4, 2025.

Join the Energy Corridor Twilight Treats Ride

The Energy Corridor Cycling Club is hosting a monthly family-friendly bike ride through the District, complete with a sweet stop along the way. Riders will explore neighborhoods, trails, and roads before enjoying desserts and drinks at local establishments.

Start: The Energy Corridor art installation (Memorial Dr. & S. Mayde Creek Dr.)

Date: Friday, October 17, 2025

Time: Meet at 6:45 PM for a 7:00 PM rollout

Please note that:

  • The ride is open to all ages, however children riding independently need to be able to ride approximately 8–10 miles round-trip, and safely control their bike in a large group. Parents are encouraged to bring younger kids along in trailers or alternate bike seats.
  • Safety is key. Some routes may use short stretches of, or require crossing of, main roads around the District. All riders should be comfortable riding with a group on roads, and parents should be mindful of children.
  • Helmets are required for all riders, and front & rear lights are strongly encouraged.

Reclaim the Drain & Reuse Rendezvous

Join us for the Energy Corridor’s first ever Reclaim the Drain & Reuse Rendezvous on October 18th.

The Energy Corridor District, Council member Mary Nan Huffman - Houston District G, and the Bayou Preservation Association are teaming up to host this special event, with the help of volunteers from Stratford High School service organizations, Keep Houston Beautiful, and Scout Troop 505, and support from METRO.

Pick up your free supplies at Addicks Park & Ride and help mark storm drains and clean up litter in this targeted area.

This is your chance to make a direct impact by helping to raise awareness in the community, reduce litter and pollution, prevent flooding, and protect Houston’s waterways.

Date & Time: Saturday, October 18, 2025, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Place: Addicks Park & Ride (14230 Old Katy Rd.).

Exciting Announcement: New Commuter Service to the Energy Corridor

Fort Bend County launched a new commuter service to the Energy Corridor on October 6th. The service begins at the new Westpark Park and Ride located at 19820 FM 1093 Rd. Richmond, TX 774047.

Route Highlights:

  • Circular route along I-10, serving major businesses.
  • Stops at two Houston Metro park & ride locations with connections to downtown Houston.

Fares:

  • $3 for the entire Energy Corridor
  • $2 for transfer stops
