To support sustainable transportation, BikeHouston will provide a free bike valet service at the festival entrance. The N. Dairy Ashford Road Safe Crossing Improvements project is set to enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety while improving overall mobility. Key upgrades include:
A new mid-block crosswalk
Safer left turn lanes
Relocated bus stops for better accessibility
Improved bike lanes to support a safer, more efficient commute
These enhancements aim to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment while easing traffic congestion. With construction set to begin soon, these improvements will play a significant role in making the area safer and more accessible for all.
In addition to the work happening on N. Dairy Ashford, this project will address sidewalk, crosswalk and curb improvements throughout the District. We’re taking a proactive approach to pedestrian safety with new signage and pavement markings at several key intersections within the District. These enhancements will improve visibility, create safer crossings, and ensure a smoother experience for pedestrians and cyclists. By upgrading these intersections, we are making it easier for everyone to navigate the area, whether they are commuting to work, enjoying our parks, or accessing local businesses.

These small but significant upgrades are part of a broader initiative to enhance mobility and accessibility throughout the Energy Corridor.
