Camera Specifications:

Provide information about the type of surveillance cameras you intend to install (if any), including details such as product name, camera resolution, field of view and any advanced features. Please include any additional information you feel would be helpful.

Per City of Houston Ordinance 2022-307, minimum requirements are as follows:

Minimum Resolution: Two (2) Megapixels
Minimum Aspect Ratio: 1920px x 1080px
Minimum Frame Rate: 30 fps
Video Exporting: Non-Proprietary MPEG-4 Format

Per City of Houston Ordinance 2022-307, additional requirements are as follows: The location shall be equipped with exterior lighting fixtures of sufficient intensity to illuminate every place to which customers are permitted access, including, without limitation, the exterior of the main building, storefront entrances, parking areas and fuel pump islands, at an illumination of not less than six foot-candles (65 lux) as measured at five feet above the ground level. Exterior lighting must not be directed to illuminate a neighboring residential property. Exterior lighting must be turned on daily between sunset and sunrise.

Identify the areas where you plan to enhance lighting (if any), including parking lots, walkways and building exteriors.

PROPERTY CONDITIONS IMPACTING SAFETY:

Site Conditions:

Are there any physical features or aspects of your property that may impact public safety, such as blind spots, poorly lit areas or potential hiding spots for criminals? Please describe.

Recent Criminal Activity:

Has your property experienced any recent criminal activities, incidents or safety concerns? If yes, please provide details regarding the nature of these incidents.

If you intend to purchase or install equioment or infrastructure other than cameras or or lighting, please describe and explain how it will add to the safety and security of your location.

AGREEMENT & REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

BY SIGNING BELOW, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

If awarded, the grant funds will be provided in the form of a reimbursement check pending successful completion of work and submission of receipts.
The grant funds will be used exclusively for the purpose of reimbursing costs associated withinstalling lighting and surveillance camera systems in accordance with City of Houston requirements as outlined above, on the specified property within The Energy Corridor District.
I understand that law enforcement agencies will have access to camera footage upon their request. The Energy Corridor District will have NO access to the camera footage.
I will provide proof of successful installation and payment within 90 days of receiving the notice of award of grant funds. Failure to use grant funds within 90 days of the award may result in The Energy Corridor District revoking the grant and applying such funds to other applicants.
I am committed to maintaining the functionality of the installed assets and ensuring their proper placement for a period of at least 3 years.
I will maintain video footage records for a minimum of 30 days.
I understand that incomplete or inaccurate information may result in the rejection of my application.
I understand that grant awards will be made at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of The Energy Corridor District.
