This summer, Fluor will relocate its Houston-area headquarters from its longtime Sugar Land location to the class-A office space at Three Eldridge on 737 Eldridge Parkway. The company has signed a 12-year lease for the entire 308,186-square-foot office building in addition to the acquisition of 104,667 square feet of additional leased space at Two Eldridge (for a total of 412,853 square feet), showcasing a major commitment to the District and its future.
Fluor has plans to move more than 1,300 employees to its District location this summer and is additionally planning to hire 170 employees in 2024 and fill 400 positions in the future. This is a significant change for the company, which built its Sugar Land operations in 1984. Jennifer Kim, vice president and general manager of Fluor’s Houston office, told the Houston Business Journal, “relocating Fluor’s Houston operations to Three Eldridge, in the heart of The Energy Corridor, supports our current business and our anticipated growth.”

The Fluor deal was selected as the winner of the 2024 CoStar Impact Award for Lease of the Year in Houston, a Houston Business Journal Landmark Award for Lease of the Year and a HOLBA Houston Award for Deal of the Year. This is one of many large office deals recently signed in the District, with nearly 19% of all Houston-area office deals signed in the first quarter of 2024 taking place in the Energy Corridor. This is believed to be in part due to companies’ efforts to reduce commute times for their employees, as well as the updated amenities and spaces the District offers.
