Update from the Board President: Executive Director Transition
Dear Energy Corridor District Stakeholders,
After over four years of dedicated service, our esteemed Executive Director, Elijah J. Williams, has moved on to take a pivotal role as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Houston, where he will continue to champion the interests of our city.
This move reflects not only Elijah’s unwavering commitment to civic leadership but also his exceptional abilities to effect positive change within the Houston community.
Throughout Elijah's tenure as Executive Director, he played a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of The Energy Corridor District and propelled our organization to new heights. His strategic vision and tireless advocacy contributed to our successful rebranding and helped the District secure over $12 million in grant funds for infrastructure and planning projects.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Elijah for his outstanding leadership and service. We are immensely grateful for his invaluable contributions and unwavering dedication to The Energy Corridor District. We look forward to working with Elijah as the District partners with the City on various projects to meet the needs of and improve this vibrant and vital area of the City.
