In Case You Missed It: The District Held It’s Q1 Quarterly Public Safety Meeting
Energy Corridor District: Quarterly Public Safety Meeting
At our recent Quarterly Public Safety & Security Meeting, attendees gained valuable insights from HPD Sergeants Tavis Parker & Edna DeLeon on two growing crime trends—Jugging and Sliding. These crimes, which involve targeting individuals withdrawing valuables and stealing from unattended vehicles at gas stations, are becoming more common, making awareness and prevention more important than ever.
Participants learned key strategies for staying vigilant, including situational awareness, best practices for securing belongings, and self-defense measures to deter criminal activity. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, allowing community members to voice concerns and receive expert guidance directly from law enforcement. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Stay tuned for future safety meetings as we continue working to keep the Energy Corridor safe.
