Last month, bp hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of their first bp pulse branded Gigahub™ in the United States. The new electric vehicle charging hub is now open to the public.
Located in The Energy Corridor District at their Westlake campus, the bp Pulse Gigahub will offer 24 high-speed electric vehicle fast-charging points. This Gigahub site for EV-driving Houstonians marks a momentous step for the expansion of bp’s EV charging network in the country.
This is only the beginning and we cannot wait to see how this and future endeavors by bp support the faster adoption of electric vehicles in the United States. Last year, bp announced plans to invest $1 billion in America's EV charging infrastructure by 2030, with $500 million invested in by the end of 2025. bp pulse also shared commitments to deliver 3,000 charge points by 2025.
