Share Your Transportation Ideas at METRO’s Public Meeting on June 16

VeteransDo you have ideas or concerns regarding our city's transportation? Now, you have an opportunity to have your ideas heard by top level METRO officials.

METRO is hosting a public meeting to discuss Long-Range Transportation Plans at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 12401 Katy Freeway, just west of Dairy Ashford, on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m.

The purpose of the workshop is to:

  • Get input from the public on solutions to long-range transit planning
  • Share your ideas on how METRO can improve service to the community.

Mobility options to be discussed include:

  • Streetcars
  • Light Rail
  • Bus Rapid Transit
  • Commuter Rail
  • Improved Bus Service
  • HOV/HOT Lanes

METRO Senior Vice President for Service Design and Development, Kimberly Slaughter, will present METRO'S vision and encourage you to share your ideas. In addition, a METRO customer service team will be on hand to help individuals plan trips on METRO's transit system and to distribute METRO's Q Fare cards.

If you are interested in improving mobility in our community, please plan to attend this important meeting that affects the quality of life of all Houston area residents.
