All flavors of arts and styles will be on display during free, family friendly event at Grisby Square
With summer finally working on its exit, the Oktoberfest Art Market on Saturday, September 29, will make a fitting celebration for the emergence of autumn in the Energy Corridor.
That afternoon, the Energy Corridor Farmers Market at Grisby Square will become a European-style market with a Houston flair – full of local artisans, craftsman, farmers and epicurean food-makers.
Musical entertainment, local foods and drink will also be on tap during this family friendly, free event, hosted by The Art Cellar of Houston, the Energy Corridor Farmers Market, Guerra Studios, and Watson's Pub.
The combined forces of The Art Cellar of Houston and Guerra Studios created Art Is An Outdoor Market to present a series of artisan market events, which have been drawing residents from the Energy Corridor, Cypress, Katy, Memorial, Richmond, Sugarland and other points west of Houston. Their goal? Bring together painters of all mediums, sewistas, artisans, milliners, leatherworkers, metal workers, multimedia artists, soap makers, shoemakers, candlemakers, florists and other talented individuals selling handmade products or artwork.
The market is unique, according to the Oktoberfest event organizers, bringing the arts of all flavors and styles to the Energy Corridor.
