Hit by Hurricane Harvey, Parkside on Memorial apartments and townhomes is back in business and leasing its one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and three-story townhomes.
If its location on a quiet street straddled by Terry Hershey Park wasn’t enticement enough, Parkside on Memorial is offering an Energy Corridor District Community Deal for $500 off the first month’s rent for an apartment home.
Lauren Smith is the community manager for Parkside at Memorial and also happens to live there. She takes pride in Parkside at Memorial’s location along Terry Hershey Park, which she walks most nights.
“We are so happy to have reopened,” says Smith, whose home was also flooded after Harvey. “I do love living here, right along Terry Hershey Park. After Harvey, a lot of residents left their things here on the second and third floors so they could return when we rebuilt. Our residents have been pretty fantastic and happy that they stayed.”
On March 24, the Parkside at Memorial team will pitch in to help clean up Terry Hershey Park as part of Trash Bash 2018, the annual volunteer event that removes garbage, tires and recyclables from the Galveston Bay watershed.
“We’ve been recruiting residents to join us,” Smith says. “It’s been great to see the community come back together after Harvey.”
Parkside at Memorial’s location, says Smith, helps residents unwind from daily stress. “Our premier location enables you to live a balanced life, taking in the best aspects of a healthy, natural life style while being pampered with the latest features and amenities,” she explains.
