Rebeca Diaz Joins The District as Program Coordinator

Rebeca Diaz, a senior environmental design student at Texas A&M University, has joined The Energy Corridor District this summer as its program coordinator, focused on helping the District team with events, urban planning projects and outreach to local businesses.

This summer, Diaz is creating an inventory of The District’s pedestrian and bike infrastructure. It’s an effort designed to help The District determine future infrastructure investment priorities.

Diaz, a former architectural intern for the City of Houston, is also working with The District team on urban planning and architecture projects – including the creation of a SPARK Park near Wolfe Elementary and the development of a site plan for a commercial property. Both planning projects will be guided by The District’s master plan principles and overarching vision focused on creating a highly livable place.
