Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists along IH-10 will soon notice changes during their commute to and through the Energy Corridor District over the next six months. TxDOT has awarded the landscape and irrigation project along I-10 from Washington Avenue to SH-6 to Boyer, Inc. Boyer, Inc. is the contractor whose scope of services includes the work performed west of Kirkwood to just west of SH-6.
The planting will primarily include native trees along IH-10. The areas being planting will be fully irrigated using drip irrigation for two years following the completion of the work. The Energy Corridor District is proud to be a partner with TxDOT on this project and is looking forward to the completion of the Green Ribbon Project along IH-10 by April 2011.
