Future of The Energy Corridor Bisnow Conference Oct. 31 Features All-star Lineup

The Future of The Energy Corridor is upon us. Bisnow’s eagerly awaited conference and networking session focused on one of the nation’s fastest growing urban centers is Friday, October 31, at the Omni Houston Westside Hotel.

The region’s second--largest employment center, supported by more than 300 local, national and multinational companies, The Energy Corridor is booming. Now offering more than 28 million square feet of office and mixed-use space, The Energy Corridor is projected to add another 17 million square feet by 2030. Already The Energy Corridor is home to the largest concentration of energy-related firms in Houston.

More than 700 people attended the last Bisnow Future of The Energy Corridor conference in February 2013.

A “who’s who” of commercial real estate, development and construction experts will take the stage to share their thoughts and projections about The Energy Corridor. The conference is a chance to hear first-hand from those on the front lines of growth and is sure to provoke thought about the future of The Energy Corridor.

After a networking breakfast, the conference kicks off with opening remarks from David Hightower, president of The Energy Corridor District and EVP/chief development officer of Wolff Companies. Hightower leads The District’s Board of Directors, which has been working since 2001 to improve transportation mobility, curb appeal and urban environmental design, public safety and local business in order to increase the appeal of The Energy Corridor.

Clark Martinson, general manager of The Energy Corridor District, will also share his vision of a future that offers greater connectivity between business campuses, increased transportation mobility options, and safer pedestrian and bicycling paths. One aspect that sets The Energy Corridor apart is being surrounded by two of the largest open natural areas of any metropolitan region in the country. Providing hiking and biking trails is one of the missions for The District, which led development of the West Houston Trails Master Plan.

Other development and planning experts will discuss current growth and commercial real estate trends in The Energy Corridor.

Don’t miss Bisnow’s Future of The Energy Corridor, October 31, at the Omni Westside Houston, Texas Ballroom, 13210 Katy Freeway at Eldridge.
