Energy Center Builder Trammell Crow Rises Up to Fight Deadly Disease at 2016 Houston Heart & Stroke

Energy Corridor businesses and employees can help support team’s mission to promote healthy lifestyles

The developer that raised the gleaming office buildings known as Energy Center 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Eldridge Parkway and IH-10 is hoping to construct a different sort of tower, one built of donations, not glass.

Trammell Crow Company is rallying to fight two of the nation’s leading causes of death – cardiovascular diseases and stroke – with a team that’s on a mission to raise thousands of dollars when it takes part in the 2016 Houston Heart & Stroke Walk on Saturday, November 5, in the Texas Medical Center.

Known for building LEED-certified office towers in The Energy Corridor, Trammel Crow is seeking area employees, businesses and residents to help its 2016 Heart & Stroke Walk team take the lead in the fight against heart disease and stroke with a sponsorship.

Certainly, the 2016 Houston Heart & Stroke Walk – which seeks to raise $3.2 million dollars – raises vital funds for heart disease and stroke research and education. But the walk is also a prescription for preventative medicine, a walk designed to engage companies to promote healthy lifestyles for children and adults.

You can support Trammell Crow’s 2016 Heart & Stroke Walk effort by making a tax-deductible donation on their team page here. Or mail checks payable to the American Heart Association at:

“We are proud of our strong engagement with the American Heart Association, a partnership that continues to advance research in the treatment and prevention of this life–threatening disease,” writes Jim Casey, senior managing director for Trammell Crow. “Your company’s participation in the Heart Walk will help continue funding the American Heart Association’s work in research, education, advocacy, and community programs.”
