Forget the dog days of summer. It’s time for a dolmas day. And toasts of stinygiasou, “to your health.”
My Big Fat Food Truck Block Party will bring Greek fusion food, desserts, beer, wine and music to The Energy Corridor 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge Parkway.
Let’s see … grape leaves stuffed with rice and dressed in lemon, check; delicate phyllo pastry layers bursting with nuts and drenched in honey, check; meats skewered and tenderly roasted, check; children’s food and inflatable bounce castle, check; the Euro, uh, maybe not; free admission, check!
It’s St. Basil the Great’s first My Big Fat Food Truck Block Party and organizers are hoping to create a new summer tradition for West Houston.
Featured food truck Anna’s Gourmet Greek will dish out Greek fusion food along with a kid’s menu while the music of Greece plays on, all day long.
