Houstonians are gearing up for the upcoming Final Four to be held at Reliant Stadium. But, the excitement begins with the NCAA tournaments, which send fans into a synchronized frenzy, hence the name March Madness. This year, the number of teams participating in NCAA March Madness jumps from 64 to 68, meaning even more games and excitement! If you are looking for a local hangout to cheer on your favorite team, you may want to visit local sports bars such as Sporting News Grill located in the Holiday Inn Houston-West and The Enclave Sports Grill.
Houston is the largest city to host the Final Four since Los Angeles in 1972. Reliant Stadium expects a packed house of 76,500 for each of the April 2 semifinals and the April 4 NCAA championship game. No tickets, no problem. Three “fan zones” will be set up around the city – Reliant Stadium area, the Galleria area and downtown.
