Westside High School Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Save the date and spread the word! Westside High School invites alumni and community members to celebrate its 10-year anniversary on August 12, at the Westchase Marriott (2900 Briarpark) from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Westside grads can reunite with classmates, teachers and faculty, sharing memories and experiences from the past decade. Community members will see how far Westside High School has come from its initial grassroots campaign to build a high school in west Houston to becoming the recognized school of 2010.

On Saturday May 8, at the ConocoPhillips overflow parking lot at N. Dairy Ashford and N. Eldridge, we collected over 33,103 pounds of electronic waste, in excess of 2,400 pounds of confidential documents for destruction and a total of 1,580 lbs of household recyclables.

The Energy Corridor District treated Vanpoolers employed at ConocoPhillips to an appreciation lunch at popular local restaurant Watson’s Pub.  The lunch outing, via the new METRO bus route 75 Connector, was in recognition of green rideshare commuting by the vanpoolers and to bring attention to the frequent convenient service the 75 Connector offers, especially for individuals that don’t have  a vehicle at their workplace.
