Thinking of Volunteering? Join Trash Bash on Saturday, March 28, 2009
The annual River, Lakes, Bays ‘N Bayous Trash Bash event will be held on Saturday, March 28. Thousands of volunteers will gather along the Texas waterways to do their part in cleaning up the environment and participate in the largest statewide event to educate the community on the importance of the state’s water resources. Volunteer teams will tackle litter and debris at 16 locations throughout the
Houston Metropolitan area including Buffalo Bayou, Armand Bayou, Brays Bayou, Dickinson Bayou, Seabrook, White Oak Bayou and Lake Conroe. Several clean-up sites are slated for the Upper Buffalo Bayou in and around the Energy Corridor area: Buffalo Bayou at Beltway 8, Wilcrest, Kirkwood, Dairy Ashford, Eldridge and SH 6. If you would like to volunteer to help clean upper Buffalo Bayou along Terry Hershey Park or any other waterway location, please visit swinformation@h-gac.com or call 281-486-9500. The clean up festivities include free lunch, T-shirts, door prizes, entertainment and environmental activities. Clean it like you mean it!
