Plans For Transit Project Underway
To better meet the needs of employees and residents in the Energy Corridor, the District is proposing a new transit service – the Eldridge Crosstown Circulator. The Eldridge Crosstown Circulator will provide a safe, effective and reliable transit alternative for traveling within the District by connecting regional transit system and hike and bike trails to virtually every major employer, residential area, restaurant and retail establishment in the Energy Corridor District.

West Houston Phase II Trail Completes 27.8 Miles of Bikeway
The City of Houston, Houston Bikeway Program and Energy Corridor District recently celebrated the opening of the West Houston Phase II Trail. The new shared-use trail extends from Enclave Parkway and Eldridge through Terry Hershey Park to Langham Creek south of the Katy Freeway. The trail segment provides connection to 27.8 miles of bike lanes and designated bike routes west of Beltway 8, between Old Katy Road and Richmond.

Cyclists Pedaled More than 1,400 Miles To and From the Office on Bike to Work Day
The Energy Corridor District’s annual Bike to Work Day was a success. While the City of Houston did not hold a city-wide competition this year, representatives from BP America, CITGO, Sysco, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Precinct 5, Shell, American Express, Exmar Offshore, Halliburton and OFD Engineering participated in the annual celebration by riding their bikes to the office.
