Before Ike’s Category 2 winds hit Texas, the Tully Stadium parking lot in the Energy Corridor was busy staging the National Guard and fueling ambulances, school buses and tour buses. A very long weekend followed Hurricane Ike’s path of destruction on the Gulf Coast and the Houston region.

Choosing a Lane – New Toll Lane Dissected

H-GAC, TxDOT, METRO and Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) conducted public meetings in August to describe how to navigate the future managed lanes in the middle of the new I-10. Managed lanes are toll lanes and high occupancy lanes that vary the rate of the toll to keep traffic flowing above 40 miles per hour.
